What u attempt to accomplish? Maintaining games also takes time and effort and server costs and they likely kill them to save costs.
There is no way this petition is gonna do anything
It's trivial in the grand scheme of things to release a localhost server to let games run offline. For the amount of work that goes into games already this is a drop in the bucket.
It's also trivial if you know it's a requirement at the start of the project.
So even if it does nothing for games out now, if it makes it a requirement going forward that alone would be a massive success all by it self.

But in short, PirateSoftware had a fall from grace for narcissism and with his previous opposition to the petition, became a "villain" to unite against.

To think I actually liked this guy, what an egotistical asshole he really is.
Egotism often translates to charisma and confidence, but falls apart eventually.

My only real experience with this guy was that he helped fund a mario 64 romhacking competition that I entered. So I got some money from him because of it. Funny how that works out.

Are Apple devs even contractually allowed to say that they're Apple devs? I swear every employee from every other company won't shut up about it on twitter but you never hear a thing from Apple people. Have I just been missing them completely?
I know a few people who used to work for Apple. The reason a lot don't say it though is because if you do people automatically assume you had something to do with whatever feature they don't personally like, and you get berated about it.
