If you're hosting static content it's a lot easier. If you've only opened ports 80/443 and don't have any kind of user input or scripting you're (probably) fine. Most likely you'd get DOS'd before someone would hack you. Assuming you're keeping your software up to date. In general though limit what is exposed to the Internet. In this case don't open any extra ports. If you want to be more secure (likely overkill for most threat models), treat your webserver like it's always infected. Don't do anything else important on it, and keep it segmented from your other computers with firewall rules. Realistically no one is going to bother to hack you unless you're posting shit that makes people angry. You're mostly going to get prodded by bots looking for known vulnerabilities in Apache or the like, and you can stay protected with frequent updates. If you're hosting something dynamic or with code like PHP or something with user accounts and the like, then it's slightly more complicated.

It is interesting to me that you assume I am offended by your statement, when in reality I am just pointing out that you are factually wrong. If the Global average, comprised of over 8.2 billion people, is 5'7.5" then 5'7" is not "short". One person "appreciating your honesty" doesn't change the fact that you are objectively wrong. You are also responding so should I assume that I am correct in thinking that you are simply an ignoramus who refuses to accept they are wrong? Considering I have 0 reason to be insecure about my height, and you have nothing but an average guy thanking you to support your very subjective opinion on the matter, I think my assumption may be correct and don't feel the need to respond further.

The few times I've been around for the organising of live streams, we've either done it directly to our own socials and/or an independent journo might come and either stream or record some stuff, but I don't think I ever got their names when that's been organised ahead of time. At one I attended, the organisers provided burner phones for people to livestream an action, I believe to their personal accounts? I never saw the footage of it though.

I remember sitting and watching the stars or scenery when Oblivion first came out. There are a couple nice spots overlooking meadows or lakes where things are peaceful. Also watching the sun rise in Hyrule field in Ocarina of Time. Although, that could have also been relief that the field was becoming safe. Overlooking Lake Hyrule in Ocarina of Time or Twilight Princess was also nice.

I don’t think so, BUT the usefulness of it will vary depending on where you live and work. I took five years of Spanish in school, last three were honors and I got college credit for them. I kept it up on my own, but in my area, mostly useless. Hilariously, I’ve gotta be the one person who who’ve benefitted more from taking all that time to instead learn French; there aren’t a ton of Hispanic immigrants in my area. What there are…a lot of Africans, many of whom speak at least a version of French. (They’re from places like the DR Congo that are former French colonies. Fun fact: a small few elderly Somalis still speak Italian for the same reason.) In the field I’m in now (private security,) any extra language skills will be useful. I speak English and Spanish, some Russian, some Welsh (from grandparents,) some Xhosa (South African,) and little bits of numerous others. The Welsh is mostly useless today, I’ll admit, haha.

I definitely won’t complain if a millie chick finds me attractive. I just wouldn’t look forward to all of the fights she’d get me into, drunkenly yelling at everyone “oi me fella’ll do yer wee knees in ya fockun tosser JOG ON!”

Pro musician here. There are so many, but a hurdy gurdy has gotta be up there. Played by someone who knows more than the basics, it sounds like something a medieval king would demand played to relax. (They’re also among the most expensive instruments out there, as the only makers today are extremely talented individual ones; no big company like Fender or anything makes them. If you see one, you know it was handmade by a master.) I also love the sound of the Crwth. It’s from Wales, and is sort of like a regional spinoff/precursor to the violin.

I much prefer speeding things up than slowing them down, especially talky stuff like lectures and video essays... But it's an interesting question. Maybe some fast paced comedies? Either the ones that have like 6+ jokes/minute or have a lot of visual gags or stuff happening in the background (for example Arrested Development, 30 Rock, Community and Parks & Rec). If you slow them down you might have time to notice, enjoy and appreciate more of the jokes before they move on to the next. Probably more efficient than rewatching to catch new stuff, but I don't know how the jokes will land slowed down. At least watch without subtitles so they aren't spoiled before they're played out, if you're able.

That has nothing to do with dying from sleep deprivation. It doesn't matter what keeps you awake, you'll still die.

Oh! Shit! Steve Paiken! I really respect his skills. He often winds up interviewing people I have a beef with, and while maintaining a good relationship with his interview subject, he still asks all the questions I would want asked. His ability to make the subject feel safe and respected while giving them difficult questions often results in surprisingly frank answers.

Enjoy. Always good to spread the word on artists who don't get a lot of promotion.

Mix cottage cheese with paprica or curry powder, and use it as a dip for the celery.
