It seems that was the first webcam, while Connectix’s product was the first widely marketed webcam like device.

I am certain, having never read this agreement, that there is a binding arbitration clause. No judge would ever see this case.

I think a lot of it is that it's direction was a bit different. Halo was built on basically immortal Master Chief. Reach had Spartan 3s, which weren't as "Master Chief"-y, and we see every one of em die on screen as part of the story. That is a pretty stark contrast to Chief never dying. Additionally, if IIRC, the multiplayer was meh, and multiplayer was a huuuuge deal at that time. The story was great (even despite what people said about it at the time) but the multiplayer didn't carry the game, so it was generally a "play the story, go back to Halo 3" kinda game. My perspective on it, tho.

That's some good news. I was sad when the last game came out it was basically released within the same week that the visions series was no longer going to be created. I hope they make some more RPGs and try to make something new and original.

For sure lol. I’m definitely the calmest out of my friend group and I think even I would get a little ticked off at the game if we had to restart a whole level. So definitely making sure the friends I recruit to help know what they’re getting into

Yes, it was the cheap camera tricks obscuring parts of the map that you could go to that did it for me. It was, like, basically making you check for every possible secret despite the limited abilities of no camera control nor destructible terrain... I get that there was an era of games with this mindset (sorta like some Metroid-&-other games, I suppose), but I just don't have time for that any more. This may sound odd to some, but my stance towards quality games is: punish fairly. Life is hard enough as it is so I don't need a game also going, "Haha, well, screw you here, too." Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

As much as I love Croc, it's not like this is a highly anticipated high budget release of a new title. My guess is that they'll keep the new date secret for as long as they can, until they're completely sure they can make it (especially after they didn't make it for the original one). It wouldn't be the first time game like this gets released without much of a marketing drive or even with a stealth drop. These slowly appearing previews seem to indicate we might be getting close but who knows. I'm honestly not good enough with dates to join you on the speculation train.

The PlayStation version released in 2021 was PS4 software that ran on PS5 in backwards compatibility mode. This update provides a native PS5 version. No I guess is "next gem" in comparison.

Soooo... I think I'm about to leave the first proper map. The voices aren't as bad as I thought at the beginning. Some NPCs have stronger accents than others, taking the backstory of the island to account it totally makes sense since a lot of people are coming from different regions. I love the comments from the companions every time you stumble across a new region, street, house. It really lets you feel like they know the way around and you're the visitor. The story picks up a notch and gives enough choices for every mood. Also it lets you remember some of your choices and opens new ways to solve some quests. Combat feels better and better as more you dive into. All weapons are viable and are well balanced. I started as a heavy two hand melee but now my second loadout is a book with a pistol... The map design is really really nice IMO. You really have to take a look behind everything to find something. The loot is plausible. Enemy placement don't feel off. After all it's a good solid game. Maybe not a full priced one but for 10-20€ off a really nice worth to be played one. I hope it doesn't fall off the more you play.. Performance got worse in Paradis but still is around 90 in my case.

Yeah, such a bummer they got shut down, especially since the gameplay was just finally getting really tight by episode 3. Same page on Jak and Daxter, first is definitely my least favorite, the evolution of the gunplay, exploration and vehicles was awesome.
