This thing turned out ot be overrated and useless, just like Steam itself. I lost count of how many games won't run with any proton (GE included), whereas they run just fine with my highly customized wine 10.5.

The Steam Deck compatibility notes for the game specifically say that it isn't good at handling multiple controllers: This game does not default to external Bluetooth/USB controllers on Deck, and may require manually switching the active controller via the Quick Access Menu I think it is likely that this problem comes from the game, not a problem with streaming sending the inputs. You can try testing this in another game with more flexible controller support to narrow it down.

With the help of this forum post and a bit of persistence I managed to get it to work and I wanted to share how with future generations and/or my future self. First Problem: libstdc++.so.5 dnf does not have libstdc++5 but apt does. Solution: I installed Mint on a Virtual Machine ran sudo apt install libstdc++5 and then copied the library to my real machine into the system directory of UT2004. The game now starts. I know there must be a better way to solve this. Second Problem: Game starts in a tiny window stuck in the top left corner Alt+Enter switches it to a real window that makes the game useable, but setting a proper resolution and trying to make it fullscreen again crashes the game. Solution: Open /home/odin/.ut2004/System/UT2004.ini, go to the [SDLDrv.SDLClient] section and set all lines with viewport to the desired resolution. Third Problem: No sound UT2004 uses the obsolete OSS sound system. Solution: Run the game under a compatibility wrapper. Debian and derivatives have aoss available. Fedora and derivatives have padsp. Thus run the game with padsp "./ut2004-bin-linux-amd64" and the sound works.

For me it beats the 8bitdo by a long shot. I think the 8bitdo only has 2 back buttons, does't it? the vader has 4. And now with Steam input support they are all programmable. I like the feel of mechanical buttons too. Yeah.. I've been waiting for a steam controller 2 for way too long. The horipad is the only "traditional" controller that has capacitive joysticks.. but beyond having that, the reviews for it are not that great.

Linux can run pirated windows copies of games just fine. You'll need to install qbittorrent, and search up a torrent download for Tekken 7. You can probably find a Tekken 3 download the same way. To run Tekken 7, you can use Bottles. (Install bottles, create a bottle for gaming, then run the game installer inside the bottle) To run Tekken 3, you can use PCSXR. All you should need to do is "open" the Tekken 3 iso in PCSXR.

Thank you so much. Saving this comment. I really appreciate it. And if it doesn't work then it doesn't work, I don't care. I'll be switching my son's PC to be a bazzite console soon, so this comment will definitely not go to waste.

I installed that today. Finally! Years after GE release, I managed to install it with the help of an AI bc nobody explains anything properly, except for the AI. Hopefully with GE I'll stop seeing 130 GB log files from Forza 5.

I wrote AUR earlier. Considering your answer, you don't know what AUR is, I take it. "Arch User Repository". I downloaded the packages from there and extracted their contents. One is binaries, the other package is game data (files, textures, etc).

This was Endeavor OS for me last night on the laptop: cp /etc/resolv.conf /tmp/calamares-root-krk32ou8/etc/ </i> finished with exit code 1. I'm never wasting my time with that thing ever again. I don't like Mint but at least it installs without stupid errors.

Fortunately for me I don't use any crutches like Lutris to play games on linux, so I won't have to visit their server.
