He perfected and popularized it. Given the altruistic bent of the project, I'd bet he's the kinda guy who wouldn't dare call it his original idea.

(my bold) Steel producers had originally sought up to a 40% tariff. Canada and Mexico were exempt from the tariffs because of penalties the United States would face under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). Additionally, some other countries such as Argentina, Thailand, and Turkey were also exempt. The typical steel tariff at the time was usually between zero and one percent, making the 8–30% rates seem exceptionally high. These rates, though, are comparable to the standard permanent U.S. tariff rates on many kinds of clothes and shoes.

Anzaldúa states that the individual must imagine or reenact their own trauma in order to re-member themselves in a new form. That's clever. Does it work in such an active way? How do I know what is my trauma?

Pounce or sand is a fine powder, most often made from powdered cuttlefish bone or sandarac resin, that was used both to dry ink and to sprinkle on a rough writing surface to make it smooth enough for writing. This was especially needed if the paper came "unsized", that is, lacking the thin gelatinous material used to fill the surface of the paper and make it smooth enough for writing with a quill or a steel nib.

wp:Down Under (song) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Down_Under_(song) The lyrics to "Down Under" depict an Australian man travelling the globe (specifically mentioning Brussels and Bombay, as well as the hippie trail), meeting people who are interested in his home country. The story is based in part on singer Colin Hay's own travels abroad, including a prominent reference to a Vegemite sandwich (a popular spread in Australia, which was nowhere to be found in Brussels in that time, whereas the character is supposed to receive a Vegemite sandwich), which derived from an encounter with a tall baker from Brussels who emigrated from Brunswick, Melbourne.[15] Hay has said the lyric was partly inspired by Barry Humphries' character Barry McKenzie, a comically stereotypical Australian who tours abroad.[18]

They are somewhat self aware. They know the system they benefit from is unfair and unsustainable. They just want to squeeze it dry as long as they can.

There's no story, i think it's just one of those weird coincidences. I know that the romanian flag had the same layout as far back as the 19th century and possibly earlier, so it predates Chad's, who got their independence ( and presumanly their flag ) in the 60s. During the communist regime however (1948-1989) Romania's flag also had an emblem in the middle, so when Chad decided on their flag i assume they chose the simple blue-yellow-red because it wasn't technically "taken". After the revolution we ( Romania ) reverted to the simple flag, which was now conflicting with Chad's. Edit: additional fun facts - during the early 90s there weren't a lot of "new" flags in Romania, so we used the communist ones but with a hole where the communist emblem used to be. That's why pretty much all the flags you see in images with Romania during that time will have holes in them. The cut flag was also a symbol of the revolution for a good while.
