I agree but also filler words are important. It spaces out the information, making it easier for people to digest in real time.

Last week, I had to explain what pogs were to a pair of teammates, had to stop myself from starting with "back in my day, when things were good and people didn't spend so much time on their phones..."
Yeah, because many people didn't have cell phones back then. For me it was when I was maybe third grade; two or three kids out of the whole class had phones.

I think you'll be waiting a very long time. The specific words and phrases will shift, but I think filler words are just a natural consequence of thinking while speaking. Some people are better at that than

The fidget spinner.
Currently waiting on people to stop using "know what I mean", "end of the day", "umm", "like", "I mean", and other filler words.
Fidgets have great therapeutic uses, just they tend to get tossed at teachers who aren't trained
