The skinny jeans era was a nightmare of elasticated crap that died on contact with a washing machine. We’d better not have to go back to seeing everyone’s pants over their low waistline though.

When's bell bottoms?
Hopefully never again

I don't wanna see no buttcracks peaking at me

I’m looking forward for the baggy jeans trend. I don’t want to see the outline of anyone’s dick.

I found one during winter and have been wearing it as much as possible.
I love the freedom of movement and "airiness". -

Vans Slip-On Pros are basically the sharks of the shoe world: They hit optimal design a very long time ago, have barely changed since, and continue to remain one of the most effective species out there. They don't seem to make as many color variant runs as they used to though, I used to have the Lizzie Amano editions in lavender / black and they looked awesome, I ran them ragged as cycling shoes.
Damn right.

I feel colder in loose jeans. air gets in.
Aye, but in colder temperatures tight denim cools over leaving no air pocket to trap body heat or improve wind resistance. There's no one on this planet that can generate body heat on such a level it can counters the atmosphere, so creating a little atmosphere inside the denim with loose jeans is the next best thing. It's the same concept as single vs double glazed windows.
If you want tight pants in cold climate, need to use high textured material likecorduroy or fleece, otherwise add a thermal base layer under the denim.

I don’t know if I was just too old when we switched to the skinny pants trend but I found them terrible on my balls

One leg baggy, other leg skinny

I'm staying right between both and I'm not moving.
3 cheers for figuring out that being un-trendy means you’re in style twice as much as anyone shifting their wardrobe…
But also 5 stars cause you never gave any fucks either way anyway.

That’s because they tried to mix them with low cut pants which was also popular in the 2000s. They are much better now.

One way to tell where we are on the cycle is check to see what people between the ages of 35-40 are wearing.

Is there some emo enclave of washed up millennials in your area or something?

I can't always buy my kind of stuff at cheap (enough) places. A few years back it was hella difficult to find straight fit jeans, and even now it's rare to find one in the right size and colour. Bootcut (?) jeans made a pretty belated comeback in my country back when I was in my mid 20s, and I don't think I can find them anymore. If I could, I would wear a not-too-wildly-bootcut one for summer.

Levi's are going to shit though.
The 559s I bought in 2022 are starting to come apart. The 559s I bought in 2023 split at the inseam a few months ago. The 559s I bought a year ago blew apart last week when I set down a heavy box. They are observably getting worse as time goes on.
The Levi's from the early 2000s lasted 15+ years.I used to buy Levi’s, but not only have they dropped quality, they introduced some weird “in the know” naming scheme where they still make “old” Levi’s, but just charge $200 a pop for them. Now I just grab Kirkland.

Yes and no it depends on if you live in a small town or big city.

The one time my girlfriend bought me a pair of skinny jeans I tried them on and couldn't bend at the knees, she burst out laughing immediately, firmly believe she bought them 100% as a prank
