I used to work with a guy who was a dead ringer for Bill Bailey both in appearance and personality.

My former pastor, who is retired now. He's doing standup comedy on small stages as a hobby, and he's sooo good ๐Ÿ™‚

I used to be friends with a black gay guy who was laugh-out-loud funny. He was always cracking jokes and he was a joy to be around.

But then he started hanging out with this one lesbian who was kinda shady, was dealing, was stealing, and pretty much tainting this guy once they became friends and that's when he started doing it himself, so I cut ties.

Such a shame we can't be friends anymore.

That's basically Pete Holmes' origin story. His standup is good, his podcast is boring, but his 2-season series "Crashing" was probably the greatest TV show about standup comedy that I've seen.
