Segregation is schools never went away (partly due to Biden breaking with the party to oppose desegregation), northern areas set up school districts based on the race of the neighborhoods, made easy by redlining, and private schools in the south.

They sued multiple candidates off the primary ballots in 2024, making sure that only one candidate was on all 50. And then appointed Harris without a primary. Primaries mean nothing to them
I'm not sorry that their attempts to stop Mamdani failed to keep him from winning the primary. Not all candidates can get past the party's constant anti-progressive fuckery. We'll see if the party's attempts to keep their own candidate from winning in the general fail.

I doubt he'll lose, he really is running a great campaign and NYC seems to like him a lot. Which cannot be blindly extrapolated to the rest of the country.
