Idaho shooting: Two firefighters dead in ambush, police say

More than 300 law enforcement officers from the city, county, state and federal levels responded to the scene of the shooting, including two helicopters with snipers on board.
I understand they didn’t know how many attackers were involved initially but this seems like an insane overreaction from law enforcement.
Not insane when you consider sheriff Bob fucking Norris is still in charge, even after siccing 6 of his nazi boys on a woman at a town hall meeting in February.
This piece of shit moved to Idaho after 20 years with the LA County Sheriff’s Department, where he finagled $150k annual disability, and has been drunk with power since he became sheriff in 2020.

They've released a name now. Wess Roley, 20 years old. Some news sites are reporting that it was the anniversary of the burning of an Aryan Nations camp in 2001. May not be any connection though since it happened years before this guy was born.

When people say “Don’t California my [insert state]”, they mean this. Idaho is getting all the California discontents who get their CalPERS pension and take it to move to Idaho to fund these white supremacist movements. Yes, there has always been a fertile base of whacky religious ideology because of the Mormon presence, but white Californians who coouldn’t stand the diversity of the state are behind all this.
