They were fun and frustrating in equal measure. Also some were so underpowered and had limited disk space (early SSDs on some of them) that at least few of the early netbooks came with Linux. Interesting times, nowadays (for a decade or something hah) tablets and "ultralight" laptops have replaced netbooks
