What was your last “impulse buy” and was it worth it?

In case you're playing with controller, use the d-pad. Just hold left/right and down and you will always perform the pogo bounce instead of hitting air.
I’ve been trying but it keeps breaking my brain for some reason. I’ll keep trying. Maybe I’ll get the hang of it. Thanks.

Fancy jar of honey from the grocery store for me. Tasted pretty good.
Oblivion Remastered. It turns out I don't really have the patience for inventory/weight management anymore.

May I introduce you to the concept of chopsticks?
May I introduce you to the concept of pouring a tonne of Cheetos into your mouth?

May I introduce you to the concept of pouring a ton of Cheetos onto a plate, then picking them up one-by-one by adhering your tongue to them like a chameleon?

You can chameleon them out of the tube if you want to be fancy, I'm trying to save us some time, no dishes to wash, no hands to clean, yeah you look like you sucked off an oompaloompa, but I can still bust sick lines on thps 3+4 with a completely Cheeto stain free controller.

30 packs of gaming cards. Hell yeah it was. Not a single good pull but it’s always fun to crack packs

Onewheel pint off FB marketplace for $300.
Showed up, turned it on and the light came on without any issues and the tire was deflated (neglected for a few years bc the guy bought a new one. Also the guy was a dad who died, so his son was selling it.) I assumed it worked. Got home, tried to start it, and I bonked the pavement with the front. Apparently the sensor was broken and it costed $150 to replace.
is it worth it? for 300, yes 100%. for 500.. ehhhhh.
edit: also thinking of starting a sub about onewheels
Was the cat included?

How many bags do you have now? I'll confess I'm a serial manybagger. The damned GAS FOMO gets me almost every time.
Do you have a bag for your bags?

Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 260. Stuck Linux mint on it (because I'm a Linux noob). £170, cheap.
It's pretty great. I just wish I could get a consistent touchscreen experience because I like to fold the keyboard back and use it like a tablet in bed. It works like a charm on Firefox, but outside of that, the touchscreen is hit or miss. I just want it to work like an iPad or Android tablet in terms of navigation (swipes, long presses, etc.)
Overall though I'm pretty happy with it. Excellent for torrenting and file management and mostly lightweight shit.
KDE gestures?
I know they reworked it completely a couple of years ago, but I'm an insane person who uses XFCE in touch mode so I wouldn't know lol.

I bought an IMAX film cell of Interstellar. It was a little pricey but I love the movie and I also shoot film.

I had to reconsider. My thumb joint was grouchy after a few months.
Edit: my clone reminds me he absolutely loves his neu-logitech-trackpad thing he uses. He likes that it's got three buttons instead of two and a dinky little rolly-nub, and he wouldn't part with his without a fight (and he's trained in pistol, c-7 in 'party mode', sword, staff, hands, and impolite words, so he'll have it even after the fall of society)
I really like the Kensington Expert mouse for this reason. Expert Mouse Wired Trackball
I use my index and middle fingers to manipulate the ball (together or alternating scissor-walk like fashion), and ring finger to turn the wheel. Thumb for left click (bottom left button), and ring finger to right click (top right button). The hand doesn't move at all, with movement all in the fingers.
It freaks out visitors when they try to use it, but it's a life saver for click intensive workflows. So much so that I would have a second as a backup.
My only complaint for it if I had one is that the scroll wheel can get a little loud with aggressive scrolling in a single direction, like trying to get to the bottom of a page. -
Oblivion Remastered. It turns out I don't really have the patience for inventory/weight management anymore.
There was some patch that sets the weight of everything to 0, so to can focus on the storyline.

GeForce 5090. Had been saving up for last few years, it came in stock and I bought without thinking much about it.
It’s worth it because it’s fast. Not worth it because it was expensive and warms up the room too much. I really underestimated how hot it would make my room.
I do regret buying it. Since now I’m short on cash.

Silksong and Alan Wake 2 on the same day. Loving the former even though it is kicking my arse. The latter doesn't seem to run well on my series s - only about 4 hours in and had 2 hard crashes. I think it's running out of RAM.

I bow down to your superior Cheetoing methods.
