We got Dedra Meero at home

shes one of the reps of NC i believe, she got her position, because she was using her "military service" as a campaign tactic.
she's the one that shouted the t-slur at Sarah McBride on the House floor.

Second Amendment
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
2A or not 2A, that is the question. Whether tis nobler in South Carolina to suffer the tweets and gators of outrageous assholes, or get strapped against a sea of idiots and by opposing, Luigi them.

No idea about who she is, didn't even read the post first, just noticed her dead eyes and (bulletproof) combat vest, and immediately realized that she is probably a replublican.
I then read the text, and was more confused, but leaning toward her being pro MAGA.
It's crazy to look at these people and just see the layers of the onion. Here is a person who knows she's doing wrong. It's written on her face. And yet, she puts on a defensive layer and keeps right on trudging forward with tears in her eyes as she digs deeper and deeper into her hole.
Mike Johnson is another one of these. You can look at him and know that his smug little grin is a thin veneer trying to keep the outside world from realizing that he knows how wrong he is and somewhere in there absolutely hates himself. Even with Trump and Vance, it's written all over their faces. They spend every day fighting it, denying it, trying not to let themselves look, but you can see in their eyes that they can't help it. They know, and they keep on anyway despite themselves.
It would be so easy for any of them to just let go of all that and start trying to help people. To listen to that part of themselves they desperately try to shut up day in and day out. To stop feigning ignorance and try to make things better. They could pick any second to just stop poisoning themselves for a sake of a sunken cost cult mentality held up by people who feel just as sick about their own decisions.

wrote on last edited by [email protected]There should be a slur database, I have no idea of what the t-slur is.
Those who would use it will find slurs anyway, those would wouldn't should have more info.
EDIT: I just found out what it is, and I have never been even close to using it in any context.

Everybody is comparing this to nazis, I dont recall Nazi politicians competing for private prison industry backing in campaigns.
What she is doing here is vying for support from specific moneyed interests groups.
The only thing that's different from Nazis is is that Nazis were big on paper work. They absolutely competed for prisoners in one way or another.

Stop thinking these people think they're wrong or have any doubts. I know people like this. Beneath the first onion layer is just rot.

You can't be a good person and be a billionaire. The simple fact that you have that much money means you're taking more than your share. No one is creating a billion dollars worth of work.
Fair point. Maybe that's the disconnect. To me, 'rich' covers a whole slew of people that aren't even close to billionaires. Someone who is living very comfortably and has, say, £200k in the bank, to me, would be considered rich.

Honestly I think alligators would be less of a threat. Frankly they are easier to run away from and they're not that big on object permanence.
If you go into a room and close the door they forget about you.

wrote on last edited by [email protected]The combat vest is because they really really want someone to take a shot at them because that way they can actually be the victim they envision themselves as.
If she just wandered around on the street not wearing anything no one would know who she was and would totally ignore her. That's totally unacceptable so out comes the combat vest.

it's the only answer and i don't see how more people don't recognize that. we have to shout if from the rooftops if we want to react in time to prevent a full collapse.

so in the face of stripping human rights from vulnerable people, you willfully side with the fascists doing said human rights violations. I am from Germany and we went through our history thouroughly in school and I can guarantee you one thing: Any person that advocated for the Nazi cause, were part of the Nazis (even mere infantery cannonfodder), or silenced critiquers were tried in the Nürnberg (Nuremberg) trials as fully guilty. So when the MAGA craze settles, and people look at this situation with a 20 20 vision, I hope you are aware at what you are promoting here. The Hague is there for a reason and any sane person in the western world is just waiting for the trials to begin.
I have no clue how you went from "I believe murder is wrong" to "praise the nazis", but ok.

You really think “eat the rich” is too strong of a response to the rich literally building death camps and making snide jokes about feeding all of the brown people to the alligators? People saying “eat the rich” are crossing too big of a line in this situation?
If you're good with murder, stop talking about it, then, and start acting. But keep in mind, there are worse fates than death.

What for me about the new concentration camp was that it would have 1000 inmates but cost 500 million a year to run.
Like wtf? You could buy them all a fucking house each for that. Every year. But hey, fuck food stamps right.

They did compete for private industry though and thereafter for control after nationalization.

A damn nice house, too

I do think there's a sizeable difference between having deeply buried shame about what they're doing and actually having doubts that make their way to the surface where they could actually change the behavior.

wrote on last edited by [email protected]The goal isn't to safely and effectively house people awaiting due process for immigration offenses.
The goal is to create a brutal inhumane quasi-death camp to eradicate scapegoat ethnicities and to provide a slush fund for pro-Nazi state governments and their jackbooted SS.
