Musk 'Pressured' Reddit CEO to Silence DOGE Critics, Leaving Moderators Outraged: Report.

I don't think they're trolling, this seems to genuinely be their belief and warrants discussion. The poster mentioned recently that they have autism, and as a neurodivergent person myself I can attest that it often takes some back-and-forth to realize when I'm wrong.
Well anyway, one has to enjoy the great sunny weather today with bbq and sun baths on my summer property so that’s about the amount of attention this topic deserves.
Certainly feels like trolling.

I never believed reptilian conspiracy theories but now every time i see his photo and his eyes remind me of reptilian. So what if it is true? What if them ultra rich with true background story how they climbed ladder of power and success are actual reptilians who make regular earth humans do crazy shit. What if? Because nothing else controls people on the planet but ultra rich. Ultra rich do not go to wars and usually do not deal directly with poor common man. They live in their own world behind the walls similar like in the movie "In time". Putin does not go to war neither his children, or trump. They send poor/uneducated or impressionable people to spill the blood of others.
Nah they're human for sure. It's only humans that can be evil as fuck.

Ah the "free speech absolutist" strikes again.
-
I just left after twenty years. I warned them about overly censoring in their research calls but I guess they didn’t want to listen

Add "brown nosing spinless wimp" to the list of acceptable descriptors of Spez

Oh good job Musk! Bring them all here! Right into our icy flippers!

Yep, with the recent responses I now agree with you.

Reddit has been a an archive of some of the greatest collective minds of humanity. Besides the general algorithm up voting bots hogwash, there have been some really good subreddits with excellent information from learned professionals on topics. it I wish it was preserved rather than deleted. The AskHistorians is one of my favourite professional vetted and clean subreddits, lots of academic discussions there.
But all things have a Golden Era, and then it's enshittified and fades away. As Lemmy will be one day too.
I don't disagree necessarily but this is a very euphoric way to phrase it

The day I saw Trump win I knew Reddit was going on the chopping block but even then, it’s been going downhill since 2016 with bots, bot mods, and language policing. Merely saying ‘fucking Luigi’ is a ban worthy offense and it’s absolutely asinine.

Just a reminder that if Musk can do this with no ownership of reddit, you know the CCP through Tencent has been doing it for ages.
-
Won’t the same happen to Lemmy when it gains enough traction?
I think the lack of profile-wide "karma" is one benefit, so there's not as much incentive to farm imaginary internet points and such with the same old zingers. Who knows, but hopefully not.

I turn 40 on 4-20. We’re old now homie

I can likely fall into some version of a category of learned professional. IMO, it's fine, many of us have made our migration to Lemmy. Reddit can burn.

The fucking bots are insane, they don't even try to hide over there.
