When I was a kid, there was a black and white magazine sold in stores that had articles about bigfoot, and elvis being alive, and all this other absurd bullshit. I knew it was all fake, but thats why I loved it. It was absurdism for the sake of unintentional comedy.
This would be the modern day version of that.

Not likely, it's too easy to distinguish from the real thing. Staging the same cell and manipulating the timestamps in the video is much easier.
