      VIVA THE FISH LATTER

all dams should have them and all fish should be free to move the water that is their home

Bonneville Dam on the Columbia River - You can tour the dam and from inside there are windows to watch fish travel up the ladder. They seasonally recruit people to monitor and count to get a rough estimate of fish population. You can also watch from above. It's amazing.

Problem is that predators have learned to wait at the entrance and exit for easier meals

            • A wet, flexible pneumatic tube uses air pressure to suck in salmon one at a time and gently shoot them out into the destination water. The system was originally designed by Bellevue, Washingtoncompany Whooshh to safely move apples.

There's a great video on this subject by the creator of the youtube channel "practical angineering".

                How Do Fish Ladders Work?

                  the predator factor is acceptable

the salmon that make it through will create hundreds of new salmon.... even if only half made it beyond the ladder to reproduce, it's better than none

There's "vs no ladder" but there's also "vs no dam"

                      hydro electrics are a necessary

but not all dams are created equal. Bad dams need to go
