I am quite irritated. Your wording seems to be indicating you're aware of the problems with "AI" generated images but you don't care in this instance because this is just about a dumb meme. Do I get that right?
I don't see the issue here since it's just some dumb meme pic. There's no artist there crying in poverty because they aren't commissioned shitty joke memes lol
-
"What does it matter if the cocoa farmers get extorted, I just bought the chocolate for a fun occassion."
Perhaps this way it's more understandable.
"This is just a dumb meme picture"
"So you're saying you're fine with literal Hitler killing babies?!?"
Yes my friend. That's exactly what I'm saying lol

You should educate yourself about how those AI image generators came to be, 'cause you just showed everyone that you have no damn clue.

What does it matter in a simple joke pic
What's weird is that the joke already exists, in the original meme format. Why not use that? AI slop has a distinctively corporate and unfunny feel to it which lots of people dislike.

So it's the corporate memphis for memes to some people

Clearly the contras murdered a bunch of poor art farmers to make this meme possible. RIP

wrote on last edited by [email protected]It still eats the power of a small town to generate this image. Also, it isn't even the actual template for this meme. And again, it normalizes AI imagery. Normalizing works by exposing someone to supposedly harmless examples of thing until you don't even care anymore seeing the actually harmful examples of thing because you don't even realize something's off.

Horse shit. You can generate that locally on your machine on your damn laptop without it being plugged in.
Unless this is the small town of those slaughtered art farmers, in which case that probably was all their power.

You made the claim about this specific image and it was total horseshit and it's total horseshit even for image generation in general.
The power of a small town, think for a moment my guy.

Ah, fuck off. I doubt you actually ever were interested.

I was but you took it to some ridiculously unbelievable claims. Of course people are going to tune out over that.
At least the other person said that it looks like corporate art and that I can get onboard with. It does often have that soft, mushy look

You blew a sidenote out of proportion. That's what happened. My original and repeatedly stated main point was the normalization of AI slob.

The amount of energy AI uses is a sidenote in your opinion?

You are also showing in your other answers that you are not about having an honest discussion.
And since you are again derailing, I'm gonna stop answering now.

If you didn't think the energy use wasn't a pertinent issue to this discussion you probably should've left it out, especially with the massive factual error in it.

Not sure what you mean by Memphis?
