Fun activity for a kindergarten! I love to see these types of things for kindergarten/early elementary school level, something beyond what you can do on premises. I have my earliest excursion memories from kindergarten, walking in the forest Identifying plants. Fun way to learn.

I do know how to, but my health is so bad I can't do these type of activities with him. That is what makes me sad

Near me, I see folks out on ice like this. I always wonder about the safety (especially when they have machines out there) but it looks like fun! I hope you can get out there sometime soon.

Don't waste time to be sad about things you can't change anymore. Use the time to think about things you can still do with him.

I've lived where you can skate on lakes and canals in the winter. If the ice is thick enough there's no real concern. Not so long someone posted photos "Had a great dinner with my friends". Everyone was holding glasses up and had black square over their head. I don't get any of you people.
