Not the karma
Bunch of weirdosWhen I hear of a Redditor be like this I want to test out that napalm recipe like literally how can you be this regarded

I don't even think he new the possibilities of what he can do with Twitter before he bought it. He bought it and after that he needed something to do with this shit pile and found the solution in manipulation and illegal election donation
I think he had to enter into agreements about content in order to get financing from the Saudis and Russians.

How many of those thousands are actual good comments though? Last time I was there, I swear the majority of comments were from bots reposting the same comments that were in previous threads. It felt peak dead-internet.
Wonât the same happen to Lemmy when it gains enough traction?

Wow now I feel justified for leaving and feel like I should do another post where I tell people to follow us here

âPressuredâ? I hate these types of âhighlightingâ in titles.

Not the karma
Bunch of weirdosI think they were using the karma count to show how much they utilized the platform, emphasizing how big the gesture of deleting their account was.
When I was deep in the Reddit hole I was obsessed with getting upvotes and avoiding downvotes. It was a dopamine hit. When I moved to Lemmy I joined an instance that doesn't allow or show downvotes, and it has been a breath of fresh air.

Journalists do that to indicate that a term is quoted from a source's word choice; it's not for emphasis.

I look at Reddit like I look at Facebook. Both are trash and have outlived their use. If you have a profile on either one, delete it or at least delete the app.

It's hard for the subreddits that barely have any traction as is. But it's entirely feasible for most of them. Is there a way on lemmy to have small communities new post always come up on the top of your feed?
First of all this isnt reddit so its not subreddits. We are communities here
And second: feed sorters exist

That...should be intolerable for redditors, you'd think this would finally make them leave.
If they didn't leave after all the crap Reddit has pulled in the last year, they aren't going anywhere.
-
Personally I couldnât care less about moderator outrage. Just read the room already and leave. No amount of kicking and screaming will take the platform off the hands of technofascists. Youâre clearly not valued there so why would they care if you cry about their decisions? Just grow a spine already.
Exactly, use the power of creation and make it all together in one day

Musk bought Twitter because he fucked around trying to manipulate the stock price and accidentally made an agreement he couldn't back out of. He tried. He failed. He was forced to buy it according to the terms he previously specified.
I hate my conspiricy theory minded family but if someone told me they had proof Musk expressly bought Twitter to get right wing power in America and used the buyer's remorse stock price manipulation attempt gone south as a cover story?
I'd believe it.
-
Musk bought twitter because he wanted free speech...
Ironic huh
Well, wanted to own a mechanism of free speech so he could control it.

I never believed reptilian conspiracy theories but now every time i see his photo and his eyes remind me of reptilian. So what if it is true? What if them ultra rich with true background story how they climbed ladder of power and success are actual reptilians who make regular earth humans do crazy shit. What if? Because nothing else controls people on the planet but ultra rich. Ultra rich do not go to wars and usually do not deal directly with poor common man. They live in their own world behind the walls similar like in the movie "In time". Putin does not go to war neither his children, or trump. They send poor/uneducated or impressionable people to spill the blood of others.

The fuck is wrong with you? Karma is designed to be addictive and make you want to make content for reddit. It's why the amount of karma per post is capped so hard
Well then have some modicum of self control and respect and do not fall straight into their stuff.
Besides, itâs not even about karma you see. Itâs just that these âpeopleâ if you can call them that, are most opinionated yet most moronic units you could ever come across

"Just don't get addicted to the thing designed to be addictive. It's easy bro."

It feels like a warped in to another dimension. Did everyone start using only 5 years ago?

Why donât we have similar class solidarity?
Because at least in America, we're all just temporarily embarrassed billionaires. We've had a lifetime of brainwashing and conditioning to act against our own self interest.
