I have a benign tremor in both hands. I drop it several times a week. Sometimes just to the floor, sometimes, when I try to catch it and make things worse it's catapulted through the room somehow.
Don't know what nokia uses for their screens but I have this phone for the years now, no screen protector but a thin case and no cracks or dents.
wrote on last edited by [email protected]Most phones within the past few years should be using Gorilla Glass 5, which is very drop-resistant.
The newer ones would be using Gorilla Glass Victus or Victus+ which is (supposedly) even tougher.
Smartphones are getting better and better, and the only downside is the lack of repairability.
I remember those early 2015-ish era phones where the screen was easily scratched. I love to see how far the tech has gotten.

I had a long period that I never did. I've became much less careless since and nowdays I'd say I drop it once every 2 to 3 months.

Since getting my first fragile smartphone (HTC Hero, 2009) I've zero phone drops on my soul. Guess the question is why drop phones? Daddy buys new one?

Once every 2-3 years maybe. Very rarely. I've never had a cracked screen (also not using any case or protectors).
wrote on last edited by [email protected]Exactly this. I don't understand the crack screen people but to each their own

Shaky hands
Maybe anxiety
Maybe its a sign I'm about to die of undiagnosed health issues

Almost never and I've never cracked a screen.

Never. Why would you drop your phone?

maybe once a month if even.
only phone I've ever catastrophically broken by drop is a Galaxy S20; curved screen edges are bad for durability. glad most phone manufacturers have axed it now.

I think I have dropped a phone either two or three times in the last fifteen years. But I still use a good case.

Once or twice every 4-5 years.
Same… once or twice per phone, always on carpet. I keep my phones 4-5 years.

I don't drop it but it does fall off things because I forgot it was there.

A theory:
If you have a naturally strong curvature to your fingers when your hand is relaxed, you rarely drop your phone.
If you dont, you drop it all the time.
There is no in between.
If you are a member of the latter group, try a pop socket.
My partner and I discovered this difference, and it has been validated many times in our friend group, at least. And a pop socket solved it for her.
