How I wish I could have known about personality disorders, and how to deal with / avoid people like that, without having to have learned it all through experience.

I up voted you, but I struggled to do so. I'm a year out of a... difficult relationship, and this is exactly right.
She eventually dumped me for the Dweezil. Probably for the best.
