‘Flatly authoritarian’: New video shows masked agents arresting Tufts student
-
All good, it happens, I probably wasn't clear. Let's just hope the whole thing stops, clearly identified officers or not.
-
Okay, if you think someone is being abducted- and yeah, she was- Don't just stand their fucking recording on your camera.
CALL 911!
Those badges they pulled out? You can just buy them on your own. It's not illegal. No crime is committed unless you actually impersonate cops.
if a cop flashes a tin shield, check their ID, not the badge. Cops are legally obligated to identify themselves. The badge is meaningless without the ID. You can get much, much less expensive options that would pass at a casual distance. Fun fact, it's also perfectly legal to buy the full uniform, as well as the patches. one of my coworker collects agency patches the same way motorcamper types collect state patches.
The point being, we're in Nazis America, and brownshirts are gonna be pretending to be cops.
-
How can someone even know that these are government agents? From the video there seems to be nothing about them that would indicate state authority. Absolutely insane shit.
Same question. If I'd see something like this happening to a person, I have 2 cans of riot-sized pepper spray for temporarily disabling a group of persons from close range.
Police better wear uniforms.
-
Hey Americans, is this your government going too far? Or are you just being conditioned to express your rage online and then wait for the next one?
What are you going to do about this?
Up here in Canada, we will fight tooth and nail against your Fascist government. What can we expect from YOU in this fight?
-
As the guy who filmed asked: why are they hiding their faces? Seems so shady.

Yeah, I don't think you can argue with gestapo. Police is not going to stop gestapo either.

I thought all those guns were for situations like the one in the video, but it turns out guns in America are only used to shoot in schools.

I anticipate student groups forming as a protective reaction to secret police bullshit like this. Especially considering how ICE impersonation is becoming popular (side note: what sort of shitbag cunt asshole do you have to be to do that? Like seriously what the actual fuck).

The game plan these days is to ignore the courts and refuse any part of the appeal process and simply deport them so quickly that it’s fait accompli, and ICE just says “oops sorry they already ‘left the country’”.

A government agency denouncing that a television program has lied by claiming that two of its agents did what appears in the video would be the normal course of action if that had actually happened. But no, they didn’t do it.
By the way, the arrested person's family has confirmed that she is being held by the government—not kidnapped or murdered.
she is being held by the government
not, kidnappedFixed that for you. A warrantless and indeed unwarranted "arrest" like this is extrajudicial by definition no matter who does it. This is Augusto Pinochet level repression of "undesirable" resisters of the ruling junta.

Probably not, but they’re obligated to respond- and more importantly, if you insist enough, file a report.
It’s going to annoy the shit out of both the cops and the gestapo enough that maybe the cops ask the gestapo to start acting like actual professionals and not thugs with brown-colored shirts
