Cobalt 60 has a half life of 5.27 years.
If the 7-1-63 is a date stamp of original manufacture, it's gone through over 11 half-lives. There's less than .05% of the original flavour.
I don't know about the decay products, but I'd wonder how far we are from legitimately edible.

And since everything eventually decays into lead......

Only stuff that starts off heavier than lead, and even then not everything, some decay chains stop at thallium instead. Cobalt, with atomic number 27, won't ever become lead, with 55 more protons.

Find your half life by eating this? Even though only 2.4% of the "original flavour" remains, consuming that tube will shorten your life as well.

3640 curies? Damn! One vindaloo and I'm shitting for days, just think what over three thousand would do! Is "drop and run" a warning of what's to happen?
