I finished the children of time series and cage of souls a few months ago. Love the words he builds, tho I kinda feel like he struggles to end his story's strong
wrote last edited by [email protected]I didn’t read the Cage of Souls [yet], but the Shards of Earth series had a very strong ending and clean wrap up.
I found the beginning of the first book was a bit unsettling at first, with the character’s styles seemingly dab a bit into fantasy, but the author quite nicely turned things around after.

A disembodied powerless voice whispering people into catatonic madness maybe (like a Cthulhu understudy or something).
