For recognizing that an American but also most other people have only the choice of the lesser evil? An criticizing the appearent lesser evil for something every party does suggests a false choice. Choosing the bigger evil is not a good thing.
What does that change for us non americans?
Republicans do what they show, dems pretend be good guys but are equally evil for us, which is worse. -
I dont know. Being more thoughtful. Being less entrenched in ideology and open to making changes that could help your community without being solely motivated by money, for or against.

If Americans weren't obsessed with "shopping and deals" believing a life of excess is owed to them they could take pride in the things they do have. If Americans humbled themselves, each dollar, each piece of technology or clothing could be cherished rather than just furture landfill. They want to bomb the middle east, but harder.
It's not even that they're "the same", it's that they have similar approaches, but one is much worse.
Everyone lolmemes about republicans dropping bombs and Democrats dropping bombs with rainbow flags like it's some deep insight, but all this does is massively benefit the right.
It sews disengagement from the left and people "protest vote", then the people that do the thing they're protesting against worse than get into power.
Unfortunately in a two party system, such as the US, it's better to vote for the less bad one than neither, even if the one you vote for doesn't do everything you'd like them to
