Asian tech nerd looking for internship advice (ML/Econ)

I'm a tech nerd from Asia with experience in ML modeling and an interest in economics. I'm trying to figure out things and am focusing on finding a good internship or fellowship.

I've been looking at Germany for a Master's (love the affordable tuition), but I'm curious what the real-world internship opportunities are like for international students.

Also curious about the scene in India for someone with an econ/ML background. Any specific companies or hubs I should be checking out?

Any tips would be awesome.
