This sounds very familiar. Who knew the EU and the Trump administration would be so closely aligned on immigration policy?

Personally, i think immigration is a real issue. But there must be a better way then this
Here in the Netherlands people spend way too long in AZC's as we call them. How hard can it be to decide if someone can stay or not? Surely it should not take months if not years.

Here in the Netherlands people spend way too long in AZC's as we call them. How hard can it be to decide if someone can stay or not? Surely it should not take months if not years.
If the infrastructure would be focused on processing requests quickly, getting people access to language and if necessary work qualification and then into being able to sustain themselves financially it would be much cheaper, would help counteract the demographic issues and treat the people decently.
But racism is deeply entrenched in most European cultures so we rather spend more money to treat people poorly and have our social systems and economies fail over a lack of young people sustaining them.
