    Summary

Six Russian tourists died, and 39 were rescued after a recreational submarine operated by Sindbad Submarines sank near Hurghada, Egypt.

The vessel, carrying 45 Russian tourists and crew, reportedly crashed during a sightseeing trip about 1 km offshore. Emergency crews brought survivors to hotels and hospitals.

The Russian consulate confirmed the deaths, including two children. The submarine was on an excursion to view coral reefs and had been operating in the area for years. Local officials stated that no passengers or crew remained missing.
