French President Emmanuel Macron is making a not-so-subtle pitch to lure away US-based researchers who have been affected by Donald Trump’s policies.

“Here in France, research is a priority, innovation is a culture, and science is a boundless horizon. Researchers from around the world, choose France, choose Europe!” Macron said on X on Friday, hours after he hosted US State Secretary Marco Rubio and Trump’s envoy Steven Witkoff to discuss the war in Ukraine, the Middle East and trade.

What they fail to mention in all of these bs headlines is that the program is only allotted 25 people.

This is so fucking funny when you know our own scientists don't even want to stay with how shit they're paid. "Here in France research is a priority" my guy the only intense research his governments are doing is how to give less money to people and more to himself.
this guy is a pure neoliberal shitstain he doesn't care one second about the sciences besides to shine on the global stage for half a second but this poor scientists will quickly change tune when they arrive I feel.
