The driver who killed the chicken is a shit stain and she will eventually kill someone. Imagine if that a child, elderly person or someone on a wheelchair.

Deserved... It could be a child instead of chicken.

The single most memorable part of Twin Peaks season 3 was this exact scenario but with a child, while the mother watched the whole thing, horrified.

edit: okay not exactly like that, the hit and run driver in the Twin Peaks episode didn't stop and honk, they were just in the wrong lane from the get-go. But still very similar situation

Well it failed. The chicken's owner only maced the driver.

There is a correlative link between the willingness to hurt animals and psychopathy.

I think you're conflating hunting with torturing animals for entertainment...

I'm not talking about being complicit. I'm talking about exposure.

Just like you're not exposed to the child slavery that makes your cell phone possible, and that's good for your psyche.

But if you don't like that, be vegetarian.

Most people cope like you are here but it's honestly weird to see someone who is seemingly so self aware but also encourages this ignorance.

Remaining ignorant of these problems doesn't make them go away or make anyone any less complicit in perpetuating them.

It's worth considering that it's possible to eat without harming animals and it's possible to have a cell phone without child slavery.

Just like you're not exposed to the child slavery that makes your cell phone possible, and that's good for your psyche.

Not knowing at all is one thing. Choosing to be willfully ignorant is another.

But if you don't like that, be vegetarian.

                  Yeah I agree.

Lol, I'm sure you do.... you're just being purposely obtuse. Hunters do not hunt with intent to cause undue suffering to animals. With the animal harm associated with psychopathy the suffering is the express intent of the harm, not a byproduct of it.

If hunting was actually correlated with psychopathy then we'd be in a bit of a pickle, considering that we evolved from hunting and gathering societies.

Hmm .. maybe you're right in that it's a matter of degrees. To me, there's a minimum amount of empathy that people should have, and below that I think they're crazy. So yes, psychopaths are probably more crazy than hunters. I can see that making sense.

To me, it still takes a crazy mind to look at a breathing mammal and straight up murder it. More so the more intelligent it is.

It's not so much that I'm encouraging ignorance. I'm discouraging direct exposure.

You can know and be fully aware that animals are being killed. But to see it happen with your own eyes, or to participate, will fuck up a person.

I guess I would encourage direct exposure if I thought more people would end up being vegetarian. But my gut tells me that more people would just end up crazy.

Psychology is not really a hard science, there is no real minimum or maximum requirements needed for a diagnosis. It's all subjective to how a patient interacts and behaves compared to the social normative.

To me, it still takes a crazy mind to look at a breathing mammal and straight up murder it.

Eh, I guess it just depends on your ethical construct. I'm mostly a vegetarian because of environmental reasons, that and I think that industrialized farming is morally abhorrent. I would much rather hunt, kill, and consume a deer than go to a Wendy's. There's a lot less suffering involved in virtually all hunting than just about any industrialized farm.

People trying to label the act of viewing information willfully placed on a public profile as "stalking" just highlights their own technological illiteracy.

Don't want random passersby seeing inside your internet equivalent of a street facing window? Close the curtains.

At some point there’s a line though where it’s not an accident but a certainty, and only a matter of time.

Same reason pointing a gun at people is generally frowned upon.

In my country we have "endangering traffic safety" as a crime. You can be guilty of it either intentionally or due to negligence towards road rules and laws.
