Anyone else from Europe feels the same while browsing the "All" feed?

Sometimes my feed is like half German memes

People don’t post or comment and wonder why there is no content relevant to themselves

We do, it is just that Americans flood even country-specific subs to make it about them.
We know your country sucks, you don't have to remind us every time we open the internet.

"worldnews": American local news

The most important part though.
Only to spawn fascists.
Maybe we should build a big wall around the entirety of the US, because we don't want you anywhere else in the world.

Si Jerboa tuviera Sprachenfiltros, je culomuerto faria uso of it, für vero. De cierto, io teria menos memes, pero also menos YouAss Notícias & Politiks

"worldnews": only in Ohio

It’s also nice when they come into our country-specific subs to tell us how things are in the US, as we get so little news about the US.
I hear more news from the US than my own country. Granted, my own country's politics are people respectfully discussing policy matters while US politics is like a circus and a pro wrestling league combined, with unimaginably high stakes.

It's like that one time, when Trump… *Family Guy cutaway gag*

I've blocked quite a few very popular communities because I don't understand their language. I'm guessing they're still popular? Europe as a whole, seems to be quite popular (or it was, I've blocked them).
Had me in the first half. Thought this was, once again, about 'Muricans. No comprendo, no parlan gut Englisch

Yup, though I lowkey prefer it because EU posts tend to attract more Hitlerite takes and comments. There's just something about other Europeans that make them have an elevated level of nationalism
Unlike the US

It ain't even local news. What we have now, is anybody's guess.
-
I look at all and wonder why Europeans can't stop talking about the US.
wrote last edited by [email protected]Maybe if 'Muricans kept their shit to themselves. Alas, we must hear their news and politics, and/or be affected by it somehow, even if we steppen't in their country

Isn't LW hosted in Europe?

@[email protected] Well, I'm not really into sports (I'm far detached from the stereotypical Brazilian who likes to watch Corinthians x Palmeiras/Flamengo x Fluminense/etc at Fridays while they're gathering with their friends in a bar while drinking cachaça, I'm more of a nerdy and friendless person), but indeed, soccer/football is definitely part of a cultural aspect shared among European countries (especially Germany, Portugal and Spain, as far as I know) and Brazil (as well as other South American countries, such as Argentina).
And I'm far detached from stereotypical Indian who likes to watch cricket and bollywood/local movies.
I guess lemmy has a self-selection bias.

Don't ever look into Indian politics. It will fry your brain.

Let's not bring the Netherlands into this. I can get the gist from English or German, but Dutch is right out. Weirdos.
