Not sure if anyone else remembers this cartoon from their childhoods; sometimes it feels like it may have all just been a bit of a fever dream given how unhinged the English dub was at times!

This trailer gave me big, warm nostalgic vibes, and it seems like it could look/play somewhat like Cuphead perhaps? I’m cautiously hyped.

What are other obtuse, forgotten media properties that you think are overdue for revival? I’ll start the ball rolling with Tekkaman/Technoman Blade

I honestly have no idea who greenlit this or why; but given just how obscure the source is - I have hopes that it’s a passion project, and will be made with love and care.

Maybe the rights went cheap. Or maybe you're right.

For what it's worth there was an NES game back when the Pizza Cats were originally notionally relevant. It was alright.

Didn’t know about the NES game, thanks for the heads-up! It looks like it was only released in Japan and based on the original Kyatto Ninden Teyandee version, and not the deranged English dub.

Even calling the original series notionally relevant is probably a stretch, it wasn’t even renewed for a second season! 🤣 But I guess we have its general failure to thank for setting in the Rube Goldberg series of events which led to the absurd English dub?

Just a tad miffed that I had to out in my own leg work to figure out this coming out to all major platforms. Not just Steam.

This cartoon was my childhood and I’ll be grabbing this day one!

This is awesome! So many of these old cartoons do feel like they were a fever dream, for sure. Same with cartoons like Rocko's Modern Life, Angry Beavers etc.

As soon as you asked about what other cartoons were due for a revival, I immediately thought of Tekkaman Blade, too. I loved that show so much, even if it wasn't the best.

I would also love to see a revival of Biker Mice from Mars, if it hasn't been done recently.

Rocko's Modern Life, Angry Beavers, Ren & Stimpy, etc.

That was a rabbit hole to fall down, unlocking so many childhood memories! For some reason, I thought those were all by Klasky Csupo, turns out I totally misremembered… 😅

May as well throw CatDog onto that list too, I sing the theme song to my daughter to make her laugh..

I kinda feel sorry for later generations, there really is no way that modern kids animation holds a candle to what we millennials got to experience.

I want a Swat Kats revival. That show ruled for some reason.
