(OC) Me wearing a skirt cause fuck gender roles
-
What’s attention seeking about posting a photo in a community for pics? By that logic every comment/post you make is attention seeking as well since you could just keep it to yourself…
True, to a certain extent, every post or comment is by definition more attention-seeking than keeping it to yourself. But you're entitled to think posting a photo of oneself saying here's me making a statement is not attention-seeking.

I love talking fashion and giving outfit ideas! Wish we had communities for that here lol

What a dashing Scotsman

I like your accessories. Normally I don't like mismatched socks, but it really works with this outfit.
-
I love the whole look, and especially the stripes on just one calf! Drawing the eye to the gray zone so we don't miss the doggie bag! The leggings/socks combo keeping you warm and also covered in case the December wind blows your skirt up. Or in case you just want to do a twirl! Pockets in the jacket in case your hands get cold.
10/10
Agreed, but it's actually called a "puppy purse" otherwise, excellent description.

Are we sure its a true scotsman?
-
That's a fire fit, rock on !
-
Legitimately nice fit.
Not sure I get the bag though, to be honest.
-
Wearing it is "fuck gender roles" - posting it is "give me attention".
I don't even mind the look at me, it's cool to show stuff off. What I don't like is the implied, look at me, and if you don't like it you're a sexist pig!
And as you can see in the comments people swallowed the bait hook line and sinker
Anyway, the outfit is ok, but more importantly he likes it and that's all that matters. And if somone doesn't like it doesn't mean they support strict gender roles or want to prohibit people from wearing stuff.

I hate clothes in general and would prefer those light shirt and skirt combo things girls wear.
Hear me out: when you wear a dress, you don't have to pick out a top and a bottom. It's awesome.
-
Damn, you got drip
-
But wouldn’t you say the dog bag is a statement? Otherwise, why not go with a more conventionally shaped bag? The skirt color (at least in the picture) really takes away from the bag imo.
I am also a fan of symmetry and the three white stripes bug me in a way the white trim does not.
The statement is that it isn't a statement. An understatement, if you will.
It's a big part of looking classy. Why wear a diamond studded gold watch when you can wear a normal looking watch that those in the know will recognize as expensive?
Same principle. You don't necessarily notice the bag immediately, so when you do notice it you get to appreciate the outfit a second time. There's layers, which makes it sophisticated. Classy.

Are we sure its a true scotsman?
Hes probably a false scotmann

thats exactly what I mean actually. basically a sun dress.
-
What about the making of that bag? Kind of looks like a dog...
-
Rock it, my dude! Gender roles are for squares!
Also, have you heard of Mark Bryan? I swear that man puts any chance of me in a skirt to shame [doesn't stop me from trying though!]
-
I. Love. It.
sooo much
The colors are my jam but I will say the dog gets lost. I think having the purse a darker maroon or teal color would highlight it while still remaining subtle. Fantastic look though! You are really giving off some strong, lovely vibes
