It's gonna be interesting to see how this pans out, there's a good chance the console and games will be VERY expensive in the US by the time they come out if Japan and the US get into a tariff - counter tariff spat.

Great news to the people who were complaining about the price as they can complain more about the further adjusted price due to the tariff

I'm so glad that the prices were revealed right before the tariff announcement.
So now... they either stick to that and suck it up or they will increase them and show more people what these tariffs are doing.

The anti woke gamers that can only see politics when it intersects their treats will be thrilled by this. But I don't expect any self reflection or deep analysis by them.

What’s uncertain? He’s solidifying income for the executive branch sans congress. And thus gutting congressional power over the executive branch before midterms.

wrote 19 days ago last edited byNah, they'll blame developers and publishers. There will be death threats I'm sure. Boycotting companies out loud while still using their products.

wrote 19 days ago last edited byI mean, I think Nintendo is a shitty, awful, greedy corporation, but this is just the tip of the iceberg for how tariffs will effect consumers. It's bad for the economy and the GOP are a bunch of fucking morons for letting their prophet get to this stage.
And yes, I know all the chums will pipe in that their strategy is for all the billionaires to swoop in and buy up everything cheaply. But that's very short sighted, as this type of bullshit is causing long-term damage to the US's soft power and influence. Our allies and trading partners are literally forging new agreements without us, meaning even once the tariffs are over, things are not just going to magically go back to normal, if they ever even do.

wrote 18 days ago last edited byYes, as someone who works in supply chain, I definitely don't have to update hundreds of PO's to add tariff fees into everything, and the company is definitely not increasing price of the product onto our customers, because that'd be weird. China n Mexico are clearly going to make us rich.
