China said Friday that it will impose reciprocal 34% tariffs on all imports from the United States from April 10, making good on a promise to strike back after US President Donald Trump escalated a global trade war.
They're right to do so.

I get what forces behind Trump are trying to accomplice, using him as and his cabinet of morons as useful idiots, but so many things can in wrong, even if there were some brains at the helm. It also requires USA presenting it's balls to China with an excellent chance to kick'm if they please. Orange baboon running his mouth does not help at all.

China's economy was in trouble to begin with due to internal economic factors. The mostly import food and items that they need to build factories. Since the tariffs will hammer the manufacturing sectors the Chinese tariffs are mostly symbolic. Who is going to build a new factory in the midst of a trade war?

Because it's a big economy it takes along time for things to hit and being in-trouble isn't the same as being destroyed.
It's like saying the USA doesn't have a debt problem because it's not insolvent. -

China will do just fine. It's us we should be more concerned about, not China. Just as they managed in every other field, I'm fairly sure they'll manage this time too.

They will be fine , but the tariff on us imports is just redundant. The initial tariffs will kill US exports even without lifting a finger.

China has way more exports, so in the short term Trumps tariffs will hurt them more than whatever they counter it with anyways.
