Nvidia CEO says Trump's tariff plan is 'utterly visionary'
-
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang made himself available for media interviews in the wake of the publishing of its record $44 billion revenue financials and the traditional analysts' call. Bloomberg has shared its on-air Q&A session with Huang, in which the Nvidia boss was questioned about the impact of U.S. policy on his company's recent revenue. However, when specifically addressing President Trump’s tariffs and decision to rescind the AI Diffusion Rule, Huang couldn’t have been more extravagant with his personal praise.
It is visionary, just they're the kind of visions associated with huffing fumes in a back alley.

Trump definitely has visions, but TACO!

Yeah, turns out I didn't actually need a video card upgrade any time soon

Not sure how it happened but Nvidia CEO and AMD CEO are cousins. . However, he still made these direct statements. I would still take AMD.

That's what you do when you're operating in an authoritarian regime. You praise the dictator for their guidance and vision so you stay on their good side.

Is he trying to pull a Space Karen move in order to improve the image and share price for his business? It worked "great" for the former, and I'm sure, paying homage to Felon Drink Bleach will be very beneficial in the long term.
"The first one is utterly visionary. The idea of tariffs being a pillar of a bold vision to re-industrialize to onshore manufacturing and motivate the world to invest in the United States is just an incredible vision. I think this is going to be a transformative idea for the next century for us"
Given the felon's demonstrated successes, I wonder if we might witness this comment age ungracefully rather quickly.
Nice that there's an AMD option.

Any time I see someone making claims like this, I see someone who's bought out or extremely stupid (or both). I don't think this guy is stupid. Lining his pockets? Most definitely.

Tired of winning yet, americans?
Don't ask me - ask his cult.

I suppose you could call that visionary if you're an unscrupulous billionaire who has to praise the illegal power games of a psychopath in order to get favors.
Just sold my Nvidia shares — fuck 'em.

Just like in WW1.

Or, alternatively
'Rich guy kowtows to fascist regime in the hopes of being allowed to continue getting richer.'
Take your pick.

As a non-native speaker I had to think a moment before I understood the headline, because it's so utterly bonkers I wondered if I missed a double meaning or something lol

Yeah that's exactly what's going on here, I've seen it happen so much these past few months, and all this kowtowing is disgusting. Not that I ever thought particularly highly of giant corporations in the first place.
