And when institutions have failed to serve the common people and have lost the trust of the common people your ordinary and everyday jackass begins to think these people are telling it like it is and goosesteps along behind like hateful dumb ass duckling.
The SS were not ubermensch, they were basically the golden one with guns. Mussolini managed to make the trains run less on time. Nazi science was hindered because it was subject to the beliefs of the party. And also a lot of the best scientists of the Weimar republic and pre fascist Italy were either Jewish or close to jews such as the great Enrico Fermi who fled Italy because his wife was Jewish and he then proceeded to work on the Manhattan project.
