What was something that you thought was overhyped that actually lived up to the hype?

My laptop has a mechanical and honestly I want my old membrane back. Mechanical is loud, membrane is not. The only benefit I get is that if I break a key I replace a key as opposed to the entire board being fucked.
Only some mechanicals are loud (admittedly some of the most popular switches are the clicky type for some god-aweful reason). Some are made to be silent and are no louder than fingers/nails bumping the plastic around as per any other keyboard.

unless you run your own self-hosted blockchain then a third party is always involved, that's kind of the entire point of blockchains

How often does someone ask for a source? I dont know any redditors IRL. At the moment AI is great for quickly finding the answers to common questions. In a few years it will likely be a realiable source for almost all questions.
Also AI does list sources now. So if I ask then it can find the answer and link where that answer came from. If I really needed to double check its work.
For blockchain stuff I shouldnt have said involved I should have said control. A 3rd party is involved in the transactions but no 3rd party controls it.

I tried one in the store with my wife and we also determined it was going to be terrible for sex. The Beautyrest Silver BRS900 in extra firm we got has been the absolute best bed for sex I've ever been on.
Can I ask why that mattress was especially good for sex? Like, more than a typical mattress? Asking cause I like sex and have FOMO.

Not just monero but crypto. Any darkweb market place, most privacy services, a ton of small online sellers accept it as payment for goods. You can buy cards, houses coffees with crypto now. Its not wide spread enough to not have a bank account but you can make a decent amount of payments with it these days especially online.

I really like it in extra firm as it provides a lot of support for any position you want. It doesn't bounce too much like a plusher mattress would which can get tiring if you're going at it for a while. It is like being on a wrestling mat in a way but it's much more comfortable. I was skeptical at first and thought I wouldn't like it. My wife was pregnant when we got it and was very uncomfortable sleeping at night so I let her drive the mattress selection. It took me a few nights to get used to it and I'm absolutely sold on it now. Any other mattress we've been on since just leaves a lot to be desired when having sex and we wish we were on our mattress at home.

Needs stronger adhesive tho , bcus mine some times peels off . One time had to superglue one to my case , which I hope don't havta ever do again !

Yeah but it's fractured
(I should clarify, not only does fracturing the peanut meal force the oil out, it kind of "cooks" the proteins and transforms them, which is why it continues to separate no matter how much you stir. And then it just doesn't taste as good. I know I sound like a peanut evangelist, but it's a different experience when you try fresh crushed)

At first it felt like I was sleeping on top of the bed rather than being "in bed" if that makes any sense. I'd also recommend king size if you have the room. Having the extra room for toys and other accessories on the bed has been great.

So it's kind of like a really comfortable plushy enclosed robe? I thought it might be like a Snuggy at first, but it looks like it's closed in the back unlike a Snuggy.
Had to look it up. It actually looks quite similar. The Oodie is enclosed in the back and a pouch in the front.
