Why is there not cannabis inhhalers in the same style or format as asthma inhalers?

It seems like it woulf eliminate the risks of smoking or vaping, if THC could simply be inhaled like ventolin HFA or whatever
Because if it malfunctions it can be quite dangerous. Just look at edibles when you don't mix the oil well into the edible it can cause quite a bad tripp that might even end you at the hospital.

Im no scientist but i assume its because thc would be very difficult to get aresolized. It might be technically possible but highly impractical.

wrote last edited by [email protected]Its so wierd how levoamphetamine is more tightly controlled than levomethamphetamine.
I wonder what is so isometrically different on the chemical level that makes that so vs dextroamphetamine and methyldextroamphetamine where the distinction is far less so pronounced to the point THEY are both similarly controlled substances and judged as excessively and dangerously recreational

Cannabis vaporizers exist, and they are not the same thing as e-cigs or vape pens. They're basically small ovens where you put a bit of weed. The heat detaches the cannabinoids which are then inhaled through some kind of straw.

Im talking about non heat related, but aerosolized was the word I was trying for

These exist. Just do a simple Google or fav GPT search.

Have you ever seen a stoner inventing anything?

Oh OK, but I don't really see the point, production would be much more complex and I don't see how they'd be safer than vaporizers.

wrote last edited by [email protected]Do you genuinely think still having to superheat something could ever be "safer" than something that simply aerosolizes the active ingredient without needing to screw with temperature at all?
I'm being very unscientific and possibly even prejudicial here, but, really?

I don't think that was Kenny's point but yeah, bootleg (or even regular) alcohol kills people all the time but no one uses these cases to advocate for an outright ban.

wrote last edited by [email protected]You get where I'm coming from. The arguments to hell are always so innocent, like, ya, people will have bad trips. Thats life, it should have no bearing on whether a physiologically safer medium is permitted to be more widely available

Seems like a complicated and expensive way to consume cannabis. Since you need heat to activate the good parts of cannabis, you might as well vaporize the cannabis

But what if it could be diff'rent?

I'm far from being an expert but from what I've read, if you stay within the recommended temperature range it's perfectly safe.

wrote last edited by [email protected]Even so, it seems like regardless of how robust those findings are, heating stuff like this significantly higher temperatures than your own tissue and insides is less safe than something that could otherwise alternatively be simply aerosolized.
Its literally being aerolized already by act of heating it in that way so i cant quite buy that its safer than something similarly aerosolized that is not altered in temperature at all, much less than in the way described

Up here in Canada they do exist, but it's a very niche market. This was the only product like this I saw on the OSC (Ontario Cannabis Store) which has a database on all products from authorized sellers in the province.

There used to be another brand that made a similar product but they probably stopped selling it
