You can invest in index funds online. I passively earn over a month's salary that way every year.

I'm a proponent of index funds for long term investing but it's not something you get into for the passive income now

To make over a month's salary in an index fund earning 12%+, you'd have to contribute 50% of yearly salary up front.

      Or..

      • Contribute 100% of your monthly salary for a year

      • Contribute 50% for ~2 years

      • 25% for ~5 years

      • 10% for ~10

      • 5% for ~14

So it's a great to have but it's pretty niche as a short term vehicle. This also doesn't include capital gains tax or the volatility of the market

I mean, that's kind of the joke. There is no real reliable way to make a passive income right now. It's a pipe dream. You either need to create some kind of business that essentially runs itself, gamble on stocks or crypto, or put your money into reliable (but slow) average market returns.

Doesn't work without a large capital
