It is the PLU code used for bananas in grocery stores. The PLU code is the code the cashier punches in before weighing the produce to get the correct price.

Wow. That is a very obscure reference but I got it.
I didn't.
::: spoiler Spoiler
In the US and likely elsewhere, 4011 is the scale/cash register code for non-organic bananas sold by weight. -

It is indeed a global standard!

If you focus on the background you see a disturbing ball sack.

As someone whose first job was a grocery store cashier, this was great. Funny enough, I still remember this 1 code since we are now forced to use self checkouts. Still works!

AI said you can dewrinkle that ballsack with a steamer or an iron!

Big same. When I quit the grocery store some 20 years ago, I immediately deleted all those codes from my memory. But this one remains.

Organic bananas is just 94011

Well... if you check the link, it is like 20 country. Hardly a global standard.

You should use 94011, way more secure.

Works for steak and OTC medications too.

Somebodies lying (or at least being deceptive). I checked the link. There's no mention of 20 countries anywhere. Nobody said 20 countries here either. Setting that pedantry aside. In fact, even if it were used by significantly fewer than twenty countries, the ones that without a doubt do use them are spread around the globe. Thus, they are used globally.
