Refrain from using harmful language pertaining to a protected characteristic: e.g. race, gender, sexuality, disability or religion.
Refrain from being argumentative when responding or commenting to posts/replies. Personal attacks are not welcome here.
We deal with enough hate and vitriol in real life. It will not be tolerated here as well. Please report any offending comments and we'll nip it in the bud as soon as we can.
Let's keep this as a friendly little community where we can make stupid, stupid jokes.

What exactly does "shitposting" mean? The description in Urban Dictionary didn't help much to understand this term.

Sexuality is self reflective, natural and culturally molded, disability is sometimes born sometimes developed naturally or unnaturally, and religion is cultural beliefs.

Edit: Fine, maybe you weren't disrespectfully sealioning and genuinely didn't understand which one I meant was different. I will "be nice" and explain it explicitly: it's religion. Religion is the one that's different, because it is the only one that's a choice.
To claim that genetic traits are a matter of "opinion" because they are "culturally defined" is to ignore whose opinion it is. You are failing to make a distinction between a person forming an opinion about themselves vs. having others' opinions imposed upon them due to traits they can't change.

Be nice. And in regards to your earlier comment I missed 9 months ago: there is no relevant distinction to me. Don't denigrate anyone based on any of them. This isn't really up for discussion.

Just to be clear, you're enforcing that we must "respect" the choice to engage in willful delusion in the same way we must legitimately respect traits caused by unchangeable genetics?

Hi there. Sorry about that. You didn't break any rules explicitly, it was just a preemptive move. Things tend to get pretty obnoxious when the bean nonsense restarts. I was just nipping it in the bud before it blew up again. Please don't take this as anything personal, I have no issue with you.

I didn’t take it personally, but if I’m honest it did feel a bit excessive. It is a shitposting community after all. I kinda feel like it’s not a great shitpost if some folks don’t dislike it.
…and I’ve never made a bean post before, but couldn’t resist the “dropped” word play…
