Is fediverse turning into reddit?

Yeh, people like you are creating circle-jerk threads to shit on people who ask politely not to call them things they don't want to be called.

that's the stupidest shit I've ever heard you should tell them to fuck off immediately
-
Perhaps everyone should message the mod with a simple "Sup, bro?"
I don't know if responding to this with harassment would be the best course of action. Prob best to just block

Certain instances, yes. Fediverse? That's a stretch

Got the same message LOL, I was also one of the down voters.
Had no idea mods can see voting stats.
This mod is weird and creepy for the message alone, stalking down voters WTF? Obviously thin skinned and on a power trip.
The freedom of anyone being able to start their own instance, then get a load of the ones that own their own servers... Some will be assholes on a power trip. It's bound to happen.

Ok what do you want then? "Bitch"?
Yes daddy
-
You're lucky
I got banned with no warning or even indication what post was offensive (I was not being anything-phobic or inciting violence)
But that was lemmy.ml so I should have known
Badge of honor getting banned from .ml

Well, I appreciate the heads up. I just blocked this clown. I don’t want to get scolded the next time I say something socially acceptable.

DMing me about downvoting your posts is a good way to get me to downvote you upon simply seeing your username. And bans don't stop people seeing and downvoting your posts. Just posting and commenting in your comms.
Plenty of snowflake mods only post in their communities.

You can't do this on Reddit, so no. That said, ridiculous thing to PM somebody or care about at all.

I was like "this is odd but not really that bad I guess" until I got to the end. Banned for downvoting wowww

Here’s the offensive “bro” speak. What a loser.

bro. not cool.
it's not cool to attack a person who is clearly mentally unfit to handle normal social interactions.
be a bro, and be nice.

No, because on the Fediverse you always have the option of making your own instance and your own community (with blackjack and hookers) if you don't like how the one you're on is being run. Literally no point in complaining because unlike reddit you are always free to make your own with your own rules elsewhere whenever you want.
Honestly this whole comment section with people proposing to dogpile this user for how they feel seems a lot more "reddit" than anything else.
EDIT: 12 hours later and now we've moved into people making shitposts about it. Definitely reddit-style beating a dead horse and basically choosing to harass a person when all they have to do is ignore them.

we'll just go on down to the free server store and pick us up a free lemmy server with unlimited support and software bro!
it'll be great! we can just plug it in and forget about it, right bro?

Just block and move on, I think
If they ban you, so what? I doubt any single instance forms a huge percentage of your experience here, and that goes double for some knob's shite little personal instance. Put another way, that kind of moderation is never going to grow a large community; maybe they want it that way, but it does mean they'll stay irrelevant to the majority of users. And the reasonable ones that person bans will make their own instance; the instance with the most reasonable moderation will end up with the most users.
At least, this is how I've been using it. Just firehose the lot at first and filter down the noise over time. My block list is long, communities and users. Hell, I'll block a whole community if I see the admin or a mod being a dick. I feel this has only improved my experience.
Wait, what have you blocked and why so many? I usually block just foreign-language communities.

All I did was downvote.
