Firstly, Palestine has always been a state, and should have been recognized before Israel was created. Secondly, this shouldn't be "unless a ceasefire." Thirdly, Israel and the global West are liars. Finally, some of us knew all these states claiming they are going to recognize Palestine was pacification until, as POTUS so eloquently put it, "at some point you have to just finish the job."
