      Ngl I’m so glad the Ukrainian public immediately reacted with “no, fuck that, and fuck you”, even in the context of an active war. And I’m also glad that the government seems to be doing an about-face on the matter. It was clearly a footgun moment.

        I suspect Zelenskyy's cabinet had something different in mind with that law, something to do with Russian influence. Glad they changed their minds though. Even in wartime Ukraine needs to be a democracy and Rechtsstaat.
