I still have my parents' copy on vinyl. Without Allen Sherman, we'd never have gotten Weird Al!

My dad's record collection was 90℅ comedy stuff like this and Dr. Demento, Cheech & Chong, George Carlin, and more. I grew my taste for music from friends and their parents more than my own, but my sense of humor 100℅ came from my dad.

YouTube frequently serves this song up to me, and I listen to it often. I'm in my mid-50s, and my humour ground out around me being a 12yo.
