I mean this is not "cutting ties with Israel". It will probably barely have any effect, but its a start.

Maersk is still shipping weapons to Israel. They are still wearing a west soaked in blood until that ends.

This is welcome news, but it still feels bizarre that people continue to act as though the settlements are part of a black market criminal operation. These are just private contractors of the Israeli government. You can't cut ties with the settlements while remaining in bed with the Israeli government than you can forgo using using one half of a hammer.

Mærsk only does “good” things for publicity, it’s all a smokescreen to keep treating their workers, especially those from Asia, like absolute garbage.

They know that Israel is at the eye of the global shit storm. Iran might close the strait of Hormuz, and the Yemenis are definitely going to take shots at ships heading for Bab-el-Mandeb (Gate of Grief). Iran may start boarding ships as well.

              This is a business decision.

The rest of this post is bullshit. If it comes true, well, then, I'm an unprofitable prophet.

Goodness knows how this is going to go once the NATO-backed EU sanctions on Israel hit in mid-July. US will try to sanction/tariff their way around that, an attempt to support their pals, but, surprise! Domestic unrest will force the felon's hand.

That frees up some space for more integrated transport across Europe, Canada, and emerging markets across north and west Africa, quelling some of the decolonial "unrest" in Mali, Burkina Faso with offers of "trade."

The wedge in the anglosphere will widen, and the US will be more isolated. They'll either attack Canada or suffer Civil War by November, about the time people start to realize they can't pay for their heating this winter and can't even afford "2 dolls instead of 30" this Xmas.

I love seeing that various forms of protest and pressure actually works! Unfortunately, companies tend to go where they think the capital is, so it's for the common people to bring about change and to pressure them in the right direction (unfortunately).

Absolutely not. As a Dane, our politicians and companies are just as capitalist and opportunist as elsewhere. Our corrupt government has been a major supporter of Israel, including in the weapons trade, and we, for example, just invited the US military to freely use our military bases for the next 10 years. I'm happy to see if popular pressure works.

Sounds like a crazy movie here. Not totally unbelievable. I’m currently playing this in my head and wondering what this years influencer videos will look like in the lead up to Christmas, devoid of tat. I feel like Canada might be ok, would it not be the worst time to attack them being winter and that’s what they are good at.
