Donald Trump's administration on Saturday was accused of promoting the Russian flag, on Flag Day.
The Department of Defense over the weekend wished social media a "Happy Flag Day!"
"Let us honor the emblem of our nation and the stars and stripes that unite us all. As we display our nations flag and reflect on the values it represents, let’s celebrate the freedom, courage and resilience that makes our country great," the department stated Saturday.
The image attached to the post included two small images that appear to represent the Russian flag.

wrote on last edited by [email protected]Like I said - In LA, people flying Mexican flags aren't fighting for American Democracy.
And in the Whitehouse, clearly they're flying Russian flags and not fighting for (but actively dismantling) American Democracy there.
I hate being politically consistent. There's no cognitive dissonance, but you still get...this.

And this isn't even the first time. During previous presidency they did something similar with displaying Russian military equipment or something like that.

There was also that Republican delegation visiting the Kreml... on independence day.

I wasn't aware you said that, also weird fuckin take. To me, America is a melting pot, fly whatever country's flag you choose. Take pride in that heritage.
"White House" is two words.
Political consistency may not be your strongest suit.

Lmao, I'm detecting a pattern here. I'm tagging this guy "flag confused"

Tweet in question.
I think there are more serious things to write about the trump administration than a graphic design gaff

wrote on last edited by [email protected]Nah man. They are. Mexican immigrants are American. I used to proudly open a talk with something similar to "I'm proud of this country for many reasons but most of all because of the concept what an American is. Few countries will give you a title with citizenship. Indian and become a citizen? Boom, you're American. Immigrate from America to Haiti and you won't be Haitian. You can't become an Italian. But anyone can be an American" I've since refined and now recently rescinded most of those ideas but the core concept holds. A Chinese American waving a Chinese flag is just as American as a white man waving the American flag. It's great because you can love your home country, others home countries, and your current country (USA) at the same time because it's a melting pot that was founded by (not originally inhabited by. We can get into that later) immigrants with the eventual promise of opportunity for any others. Wave that Mexican flag. Scream that the US shouldn't even deport anybody. You're an American and everyone gets a say and you wouldn't be waving another flag here if you didn't love two countries. Or at least, the people in them.

This represents any other country with a similar color scheme. Like france, iceland, chile, costa rica, north korea and others. This is honesty a bunch of nothingness, but the left likes to rage over clickbait just as bad as everyone else.

To me this looks as much as a gaff as Elon Musk his Nazi salutes. This "gaff" is yet another obvious dog whistle by USA republicans.

Thank you for sharing that. That discussion by respondents linking nationalism with Nazism is important for others to be mindful of.

Absurd comparison. I won't be arguing with you about it.

If it wasn't deniable by pundits like you, then it wouldn't be a dog whistle.
