Leap V1 here, got it used about 6 years ago before pandemic inflation, and I use it for WFH and my home desktop, so it has my ass in it a LOT. It’s still going strong, with nothing wrong except replacing armrest pads once and replacing the cylinder twice (I buy them cheap though). Not the cushioniest seat, but that’s not really what these chairs are about.

I also have a HM Mirra v1 that I got for free when our company’s last local office shut down (they wouldn’t let me have an Aeron though, lol). My wife’s home office has a fancy Steelcase Gesture I got her (open box… she wouldn’t have anything else, lol) to help with her back without wrecking the aesthetic she wanted in the room. Her old chair was one of those quilted pleather unergonomic monstrosities.

Another Gesture owner here. I debated hard vs the leap V2. Still not sure if I made the right decision, but I'm also still loving the chair 5 years later.

When my wife finally admits her IKEA chair is trash, there's another steelcase coming to this house.

I don't use my Gesture anymore. The seat his me in just the wrong way to give me problems when I used it daily. That's being said, the underside of the arm rest has screw holes that match a standard spacing that I could use to attach holders for a floating split keyboard, so I really liked that.

I'm a weirdo and switched from a stand/sit desk with a Steelcase Gesture with floating split keyboard on the arms to a floor cushion and a coffee table. It's helped my knees, back, and pelvic floor so much. I never plan on using a desk daily again.

A standing desk (coupled with a good floor mat, to help the feet/back), and when I sit it's on a gamer chair whose brand I can't recall that's comfy and that was given to me.

If anyone is wondering, I'm not really a gamer. The chair is just comfy 😉

Colamy Atlas. It is comfortable and very well-built for its reasonable price.

Steelcase Leap V2. You can get them refurbished from Crandall for mid-range prices 🙂

I like the kind that's springy mesh stretched over a frame. The exact brand isn't that important. They're so much more comfortable to sit in for long periods compared to solid chairs, to me.

That's awful, but it wouldn't be the first time something like this has happened, and it certainly won't be the last. Comedians have even made stunts/skits out of it with fake art.
