Pictures show damage to Iran’s nuclear sites but experts say it will take more time to assess the success of the operation

Satellite pictures taken after the US military attempted to destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities show significant damage to Tehran’s nuclear sites - but not necessarily to the extent claimed by Donald Trump.

The images indicated damage on the ground - including new craters, holes on mountain ridges and collapsed tunnels - but did not provide definitive proof the heavily fortified underground facilities were breached.

The US president had boasted that the nuclear facilities were “completely and totally obliterated” in the attack. "The biggest damage took place far below ground level," he claimed. "Bullseye!!!"

I've seen claims both ways, and it's too much debate about semantics.

Those facilities are damaged enough to be useless in the short term (few months at least). In the long term Iran can build new facilities regardless if these ones are completely destroyed or merely damaged.

I wonder if they're just telling him it succeeded, to keep him from ordering another one.

Is anyone volunteering to roll up with a camera and verify?

Aren't these bombs specifically designed to penetrate the ground? Why would anyone think exploding them on top is how you bust bunkers?

And now everyone knows how deep they have to bury their facilities so US bombs can't get them. The cycle continues.

It’s pretty easy to clear out a collapsed tunnel compared to completely rebuilding an underground facility full of high tech equipment.

US intelligence knew the materials were moved well before the strikes. This was nothing more than a way to facilitate an excuse for Russia to sell nukes to Iran.

This is on Trump & the MAGA morons, 100%.

Actually it's more like, "now we can justify spending more US tax dollars building even larger bombs that will penetrate deeper into underground bases."

Sure but I think people understimaye American intelligence capabilities. They see everything.
